No. 22-ranked Lewis-Clark State College’s Callie Stevens was named the Rize Laboratory Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
Stevens, a junior guard from Puyallup, Wash., was key to the Warriors' sweep of No. 25 Rocky Mountain (Mont.) over the weekend. She tallied 15 points in the first contest on Friday and hit big baskets when the team needed it most in the double-overtime victory on Saturday. Stevens dropped 28 points in the second game of the weekend, fueled by five three-pointers and 11 total field goals. She grabbed a career-high eight rebounds in the 80-73 win and averaged 21.5 point (while shooting 50-percent from three-point range), six rebounds, 4.5 assists and three steals per game.
