Northwest University’s Lewis Pope was named the Rize Laboratory Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.
Pope, a junior forward from Langley, Wash., had a fantastic shooting weekend to help the Eagles collect their third and fourth consecutive wins. He finished the week averaging 25.5 points per game on 66.7-percent shooting from the floor (18-for-27). Pope made seven treys on the weekend to help Northwest defeat The Evergreen State College 82-66 and Pacific Lutheran 91-78. He also averaged 9.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game.
