Men’s Golf

Concordia’s Jess Wingett has been chosen the Red Lion Men’s Golfer of the Week for March 18-24.

Wingett, a sophomore from Valleyford, Wash., posted a career-best 3-round score while winning his first career medalist honor out of 42 individuals at the Corban Invitational last week. Wingett shared the overall lead with a 1-over 73 in the first round of play and came back with a 2-over 74 and a 2-under 70 in the finale en route to a 5-stroke win. The 70 in the third round was a tournament best by three strokes. With Wingett at the top of the leaderboard, Concordia posted a 29-stroke team victory, the team's third win of the year.
