Irwin, a senior from Clovis, Calif., won three NAIA national titles in 2013 in record-setting fashion.  Irwin was named NAIA National Field Athlete of the Week four of the seven possible weeks during the outdoor season.  He won both the indoor and outdoor national titles in the shot put, adding a national title in the discus at the outdoor championships. 

He was named CCC Field Athlete of the Meet and CCC Track and Field Athlete of the Year after breaking two meet records at the CCC Championships to sweep the shot put and discus.  After repeating the effort at nationals, he was named the meet’s Men’s Most Valuable Player and qualified to compete at the USA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships later this month in the shot put.
