Kenady, the NAIA leader in the hammer throw, established a stadium and meet record with a 184 feet, 9 inch (56.32m) toss at the Pacific Twilight this week. Kenady toppled the 180 feet, 3 inch (54.96m) meet record set by Portland State's Caressa Sims in 2008. Kenady won the event by more than 20 feet over the NAIA's No. 4 ranked hammer thrower.
