Corban’s Kyrianna Sorensen has been named the Red Lion Softball Player of the Week.
 
Sorensen, a junior from Salem, Ore., hit .625 in two victories against Northwest Christian, but most impressive was the fact that all five of her hits went for extra bases (three doubles, two homers), which gave her a 1.750 slugging percentage. She scored four runs, drove in three and even stole a base for good measure. Through the first eight games she is hitting .567 with a 1.000 slugging percentage, has scored nine runs and driven in nine runs.
