College of Idaho’s Hillary Holt has been named the Red Lion Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.
Holt, a senior from Meridian, Idaho, ran the fastest collegiate (all divisions) outdoor 1,500-meter time so far in 2014 at the Stanford Invitational, finishing 2nd out of 111 total runners (losing only to a tenured professional runner and defeating 83 NCAA Division I runners) - missing the USATF "A" standard by three seconds. She followed it up with the top time this season by an NAIA runner in the 800-meters, breaking C of I's school record - finished second among 71 collegiate runners (61 from NCAA Division I schools).
