Southern Oregon’s Markus Sanders has been named the Red Lion Men’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.
 
Sanders, a senior from Modesto, Calif., made his season debut at the Stanford Invitational and became an NAIA automatic qualifier in two disciplines -- landing at No. 6 on the NAIA performance list in the hammer (178-8) and No. 8 in the discus (161-2).
 
He is a returning All-American in both events.
