No. 12 SOU Uses Balanced Attack to Stop WPC

PORTLAND, Ore. – Six Southern Oregon players recorded 5 or more kills to lead the Raiders over Warner Pacific tonight at C.C. Perry Gym. The scores were 25-19, 25-17, 25-19. 

The Knights hung tough in all three frames, tying sets 1 and 3 at 13-13 and trailing just 8-9 in set 2. The Raiders’ size at the net proved to be the difference as SOU recorded 10 block assists compared to WP’s 1 solo block and 2 block assists.

Leah Gradwohl again led the Knights offensively with 12 kills. Emily Damschen came off the bench and added 9 putaways. Melita Elliot handled the setting duties and had 28 assists.

The visitors hit for a .329 percentage on the night and remained tied atop the CCC standings at 12-1 with the win. Sarah Holgen efficiently led SOU with 10 kills versus 0 errors. She also registered a match high 14 digs.

Warner Pacific falls to 8-10 overall and 4-8 in CCC play.
