KIRKLAND, Wash. - No. 8 College of Idaho took an hour to sweep the Northwest University Eagles, 3-0 (25-12, 25-10, 26-24) tonight as they notched their 19th win of the season and moved to 14-1 in the CCC.

Ciciley Fox (Soph., Challis, Idaho) led the balanced C of I (19-2, 14-1 CCC) attack for the second straight night with 11 kills. Naomi Reimer (Jr., Killarney, Man.) contributed 9 kills, hitting .412 on the night and added 18 assists. Teammate Melanie Palmer (Fresh., El Segundo, Calif.) contributed 10 assists for the Coyotes. The Yotes also had 10 team blocks on the night.
 
Anu Akamine (Soph., Hauula, Hawaii) led Northwest (7-16, 6-8 CCC) with 6 kills while teammate Lauryn Ernster (Fresh., Bothell, Wash.) had a game high 20 assists for the Eagles. Elle Ottow (Soph., Monroe, Wash.) had 9 digs for the young Eagles who are comprised of three juniors, four sophomores and two freshmen.
 
“We did not come out ready to play tonight,” commented first year Head Coach Jessie Dietrich. “We pulled it together in the last game but it was too late.”
 
C of I is now percentage points ahead of Southern Oregon and in the league lead (.933 to .929) with three CCC matches remaining and has a six match win streak.
 
The Eagles will head to Portland next weekend to take on Warner Pacific and Concordia on October 30 and 31. Game times are slated for 7 p.m.
