Lady Knights Continue Hot Shooting, Stop Evergreen

PORTLAND, Ore. – Warner Pacific shot over 50 percent from the floor in a 72-54 win over Evergreen State tonight at C.C. Perry Gym.

Following up a season best shooting night yesterday versus Northwest, WP hit 24 of 45 field goal attempts for a 53.3 percent performance. On the other side, the visiting Geoducks mustered a 29.1 percent shooting effort.

Jumping out to an 8-0 lead at the beginning of the game, the host Knights never trailed.
WP’s largest lead was 26 points early in the second half and they were never seriously threatened, though Evergreen did manage to climb within 12 (64-52) with 3:55 to play.

Moments later, Cameryn Calhoun knocked in a three pointer and hit 2 free throws to seal the win for the Knights.

Calhoun was again the Knights top scorer with 17 points. Marissa Towry added 14 points on 5 of 6 shooting.

Latrina Woods led Evergreen with 13 points, and Angel Stewart added 12.

Warner Pacific improves to 12-7 overall and 6-3 in CCC play. Evergreen falls to 6-14 and 2-7.
