CALDWELL, Idaho - Erika Mouritsen scored a pair of goals just 25 minutes into the match, as The College of Idaho ran their win streak to three with a 4-1 victory over Oregon Tech this afternoon at Simplot Stadium.

The Yotes (7-5, 4-1 CCC) jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the tenth minute, as Mouritsen took a long feed down the right side and beat OIT keeper Anna Tozier to the bottom right corner of the net for the opening tally. The hosts would nearly make it 2-0 in the 17th minute, as a miscue by the OIT defense allowed a free ball to roll across the goal mouth, but it missed just right.

In the 26th minute, Chelsea Heffner played a ball to Mouritsen just left of the top of the 18, sliding a low shot into the left corner of the net for the eventual game-winner. The Coyotes would push the margin to 3-0 in the 34th minute, as Macy Egerman took a Heffner pass and drilled a shot past Tozier that trickled into the net.

The Owls (7-5, 2-2) got on the board in the 61st minute on a long line-drive shot by Brooke Cole over the head of Coyote keeper Melissa Holmes. Three minutes later, OIT's Kaila Dillon ripped a shot from 20-yards out that missed just high.

The C of I capped the scoring in the 83rd minute, as Kelly Hardegree-Ullman, who spent the first 45 minutes in goal, entered the game during a Coyote corner kick, and headed home a Egerman feed to make it 4-1.

The Lady Yotes held a 24-16 edge in shots and had all five of the corner kicks in the game.

Tomorrow afternoon, the Coyotes host Southern Oregon at 2 p.m.
