ASHLAND, ORE. -- The Southern Oregon men's basketball team held William Jessup to 28 percent shooting en route to a 66-48 victory over William Jessup tonight in the nightcap of the annual Flagship Inn Invitational.

The Raiders have now won five in a row and improved to 6-1 on the season. SOU will face Fresno Pacific at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow night. Fresno Pacific defeated Oregon Tech 70-62 earlier tonight.

Junior Jordan Highland led SOU with 20 points to go along with four assists. Kellen Hawley had 14 points and nine rebounds and freshman Kyle Tedder added 12 points.

Marquis Robinson led the Warriors with 11 points.

Southern Oregon held a slim 32-28 lead at the half, before turning it on on both ends of the courts in the second half.

Offensively, the Raiders shot 59 percent in the second half to blow the game wide open.

Defensively, the Raiders held the Warriors to 8-for-29 (27 percent shooting) in the second half.

SOU led by 10 with 11:18 to play and then held the Warriors scoreless until the 5:49 mark when the lead had grown to 57-42.

Scott Tiefenthaler had 12 rebounds for the Raiders.
