SALEM, Ore. – The age-old question is "Do we still need to dial 1 for long distance?

Corban's men's basketball team dialed '14' for long distance Saturday, as the Warriors hit a season-high 14 three-pointers that included a career-high eight by junior Jake Mauermann (Clackamas, Ore.) en route to scoring a game-high 26 points in a 100-72 win over The Evergreen State College inside the C.E. Logan would pull down a game-high seven rebounds for Corban, while senior Bryan Martin (Salem, Ore.) handed out a game-high seven assists.

Evergreen would get as close as seven points (28-21) thanks to a 12-5 run before Corban closed out the half on a 17-8 run that concluded with Mauermann's seventh three-pointer just before the buzzer sounded for a commanding 45-29 Warrior lead at halftime.

In the second half, Corban would put on an offensive clinic increasing its lead to as much as 37 points (93-56) following a lay-in by sophomore Marcus Butler (Patterson, Calif.) with 4:44 on the clock. Free throw shooting over the final 90 seconds by sophomore Geoffrey Martin (Salem, Ore.) and Ramirez would push Corban within two points of the century mark. Butler would send the home crowd into a frenzy via a lay-in with 56 seconds left, as the Warriors reached the 100-point mark for the second time this season and first at home returning to their winning ways with a commanding 28-point win (100-72) over the visiting Geoducks.

Evergreen was led in scoring by Marice Tolliver with 17 points, while Larry Green, Josh Troyer, and Tyrell Dixon added 15, 10, and 10 points respectively. Three Geoducks – Tolliver, Green, and Patrick Lewis – grabbed a team-high six rebounds each, while Tolliver handed out a team-best four assists.
