CALDWELL, Idaho - The College of Idaho ran their win streak to nine in a row, rallying in both halves of today's doubleheader with Corban University, winning 14-5 and 8-2 at windswept Wolfe Field.

After the Warriors (2-15, 0-5) plated four runs in the first - the Coyotes battled back, taking advantage of six Corban errors in the win. An Izaac Garsez RBI triple in the second tied the game at 4-4, with a Gavin Gamboa line-drive off starter Jacob Kopra plating Garsez with the go-ahead run.

A five-run eighth inning put the game away for the Yotes (16-10, 6-4), as Bobby Wassmann tossed eight innings of four-hit relief for the win.

Garsez went 2-for-3 with four runs scored, with Jarel Lewis going 2-for-4 with three runs scored in the win. Steven Blum and Kris Bos each had two-run singles for the Warriors.

Game 2 was a pitchers' duel, as Corban got an unearned run in the second and added an Andy Hill RBI single in the fourth to lead 2-0. Starter Nick Stiltner took a one-hitter into the sixth, but the Yotes batted around to plate seven runs - tying the game on a Garsez RBI double, taking the lead on a pinch-hit RBI single by Brett Ward. Kyle Douglas added a two-run single and Jordan Lanman hit a two-run homer, his second of the day, to cap the scoring.

Mitch Dame went the distance for the Yotes, scattering five hits for his fourth win.

The two teams will meet tomorrow at 11 a.m. to conclude the series.
