IRVINE, Calif. --
Monica Haynes' goal in the 60th minute proved to be the difference as No. 20 Concordia-Irvine defeated Southern Oregon 1-0 on Monday.

With the loss, Southern Oregon falls to 2-2 on the season and finishes its California road trip with a 1-2 record in three matches. The Raiders return to action with a non-conference match against Linfield, Sept. 9, at 4 p.m. in McMinnville.

Concordia improved to 6-0 with the win, outshooting the Raiders 8-1 in the match. Raider goalkeeper Jessica Kuehlwein tallied fived saves for SOU, with Julie Zamzow posting the Raiders' only shot, in the 16th minute of play. Hayne's second goal of the season came 15 minutes into the second half, assisted by Loren Kortizija to clinch the win.
