CALDWELL, Idaho - Jordan Carter canned a 25-foot, fall-away three-pointer with a minute remaining to put the game out of reach, as Corban University knocked off The College of Idaho, 67-56, in a Cascade Conference men's basketball contest inside the J.A. Albertson Activities Center.

Carter, who hit 4-of-5 triples on the night, stopped a 7-0 run by the Coyotes (6-12, 1-6 CCC) with his long-range jumper, as The C of I cut an 11-point deficit to 60-56, on a Sydney Donaldson lay-up. Jacob Kopra added four late free throws, as the Warriors' won for the second-straight season in Caldwell.

The C of I trailed by as many as nine in the first half, but closed the period on a 7-0 run, as a Tyler Young put-back at the buzzer trimmed the Warriors (11-7, 3-3) lead to 30-28. The Yotes would use a 10-0 run, keyed by back-to-back Matt Ballenger three's, to take their largest lead of the night at 40-35, with 15 minutes remaining in the game. However, the Warriors got a trey from Dustin Moore and a four-point play from Jake Mauermann to start an 18-3 run, with a Carter free throw line jumper giving Corban a 53-43 lead with eight minutes to go.

Carter led all players with 20 points - as Corban starters scored all 67 points on the night. Mauermann hit five three-pointers, part of an 18-point effort, with Erik Cronrath adding 15. The Warriors hit 50-percent of their field goal attempts and 10-of-20 shots from long range.

Ballenger led the Yotes, who have lost four-straight at home, with 16 points, with Young and Ben Van Lith each scoring 10. The C of I was outscored at the free throw line, 15-3.

The Yotes return to action tomorrow night, hosting Northwest Christian at 7:30 p.m.
