KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – David Clarke hit Oregon Tech’s first shot on its opening possession and never trailed, doubling up William Jessup at the half, 46-23, on the way to a 76-55 win in the final game of Day 1 of the Midland Empire Insurance Tournament tonight at Danny Miles Court.
 
The Owls built their first double digit lead on a Clarke triple with 11:37 on the clock in the opening period and outscored the Warriors 24-13 as the halftime buzzer sounded.
 
WJU would cut their own deficit to 17 points and never got closer as the No. 2 Hustlin’ Owls cruised to the 76-55 win.
 
Oregon Tech (5-1) will host NCAA DII Holy Names University, losers to Southern Oregon tonight, 98-87, Saturday beginning at 7:30 PM.  William Jessup takes on Southern Oregon beginning at 3:00 PM.
 
Tech David Clarke finished with a game-high 21 points to go with 4 rebounds, while Josh Wiseman tallied 17 in the win for the Owls.  Josh Johnson netted 8 points, grabbed 5 boards and dished out 8 assists with Mihajlo Matic netting 8 points as well.
 
Jordan Wilson led WJU with 17 points with Keenan Prince and Tim Oswald finishing with 11 points each and combining for 9 rebounds for the Warriors.
