SEATTLE, Wash. – Playing their third road game in five nights, Northwest U. ran into a hot shooting Seattle University team tonight as they were defeated, 95-58, in the KeyArena. It was an exhibition game for the Eagles who remain 24-3 on the season. Seattle U. improves to 8-14 for the year.

Seattle U. pounced on Northwest early as they were out to a 10-0 lead before the Eagles could put points on the scoreboard. NU would go 0-8 from the field and turn the ball over four times against the Redhawks pressing defense before Nemanja Grujicic would hit one of two free throws to get NU in the scoring column with 15:22 left in the half. The Redhawks would blister the nets for 60% shooting in the first 10 minutes of the period as they would lead 29-5 with 9:40 to go in the half. Northwest’s shooting woes would continue as they would manage only 16% shooting going 5-32 in the first half and 18% from the 3 point line (5-27) while SU would end the half leading 51-23 and shooting 56% including 6 for 11 shooting (55%) from beyond the 3 point arc.

The Redhawks would only out score NU 39-35 in the second half as the Eagles heated up, hitting 41% of their shots and 32% of their 3 point attempts. Seattle U. continued to shoot well in the second period hitting 53% of their attempts. The taller NCAA Division I Redhawks owned the backboards out rebounding NU 52-27.
