LA GRANDE, Ore. – Eastern Oregon University women's soccer team fell to Southern Oregon University, 3-1, on Thursday afternoon. The Raiders scored three unanswered goals in the contest.

EOU broke the scoreless tie at the 6:33 mark of the first half. Eastern Oregon had a corner kick opportunity and Sydney Nelson found Danielle Robinson in front of the net. Robinson controlled the ball and beat Kylie Moltzen for the goal. This put the Mountaineers ahead 1-0.

The Raiders tied the game 15 minutes later. Julie Zamzow beat Kailey Moss to put Southern Oregon on the board. The game stayed at 1-1 going to halftime.

Southern Oregon took its first lead of the game seven minutes into the second half. Presley Lambert took a shot that hit the cross bar and crossed the goal line to give the Raiders a 2-1 lead.

The Mountaineers had scoring opportunities in the second half but could not capitalize. EOU and SOU both recorded six shots on goal for the contest.

Zamzow added an insurance goal with just over two minutes remaining in the contest. She connected on a shot from 25 yards out to put the Raiders ahead 3-1.

EOU returns to action on Saturday when they face Oregon Tech at 12:00 p.m. PT. Southern Oregon travels to Caldwell, Idaho to face College of Idaho on Saturday at 12 p.m. MT.
