Two Second Half Goals Lifts Corban to 2-1 Win at Oregon Tech
KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Oregon Tech was unable to hang on to a late 1-0 advantage as Corban University notched two second half goals in Cascade Collegiate Conference women’s soccer action, and the Owls would fall to the Warriors tonight at Trevor Derrah Field by a 2-1 score.
Oregon Tech fell to 3-6-1 overall and 0-2-0 in conference play. Meanwhile, Corban recorded their first win in the conference standings to go to 1-0 in CCC play and 5-4-1 on the season.
Oregon Tech’s Kylie Durant was first to score, as the freshman received a long pass from Rebekah Nisbet and pushed one over CU keeper, Alexis Beattie, to put the home team up 1-0 at the 25 minute mark. It was Durant’s first goal of the season with Nisbet recording her fourth assist on the season.
Leading 1-0 at the half, and nearly 20 minutes into the second period, Corban’s Audrey Sullivan headed a ball in from 10 yards away to tie the contest at 1-1. Emily Boudreau would assist on the play.
Corban would continue to put offensive pressure on Tech and in the 75
th minute, and what proved to be the game-winner, Tera McDonough found the top left corner of the net from 25 yards away to put the Warriors up 2-1 with 15 minutes to go.
The Warriors would spoil Tech’s chance at a win at home as the teams went scoreless for the remainder and CU walked away with the 2-1 win.

th and at Eastern Oregon on Saturday, October 12
th.
