SALEM, Ore.
–With three of the top five individuals, the Concordia women's golf team posted a wire-to-wire win at the Corban Invitational held at Creekside Golf Club.

Concordia easily took home the team title as the Cavaliers (322-337-322—981) outlasted The College of Idaho (344-356-347—1,047) by 66 strokes.

Rounding out the remaining teams were Northwest Christian (365-359-356—1,080), Warner Pacific (362-364-383—1,109), North Idaho Community College (372-377-379—1,128) and the host Warriors in sixth place (381-389-378—1,148).

The order of finish matched the overall Cascade Collegiate Conference standings through three of five events on the league docket. With the conclusion of the Corban Invite, Concordia (2,960) holds a153-stroke lead over College of Idaho (3,113) for their sixth straight CCC crown.

After holding a slim one-stroke lead after the opening two rounds, Concordia's Sunshine Powers (79-79-72—230) took home medalist honors thanks to a 10-stroke victory over fellow Cavalier teammate Madison Alamillo (76-83-81—240) and Northwest Christian's Sarah Crofcheck (80-80-80—240).

The individual championship was the fourth of the year and third straight for Powers. The junior previously defeated the fields at the Northwest Christian Invitational (Sept. 17-18), the Warner Pacific Invite (Oct. 15-16) and the UVIK Shootout (Oct. 22-23).

Rounding out the top-five individuals were The College of Idaho's Trish Gibbens (80-91-77—248) and Concordia's Jennifer Gibbons (80-87-83—250).

Tied for eighth place, Scotti Jo Helmick (80-84-95—259) led the contingent from WPC while Katie Wixon (94-92-87—273) led Corban University after finishing in 14th place overall.

The CCC slate will continue at The College of Idaho Invitational which will be held at River Bend Golf Course in Wilder, Idaho from April 8-9. The CCC Championships will follow on April 15-16 at Diamond Woods Golf Course in Monroe, Ore.
