NAMPA, Idaho – Sunny Powers went wire-to-wire to win her third-straight league medalist honor by 14-strokes, helping Concordia University win their sixth-consecutive Cascade Conference Championship, presented by U.S. Bank, at Ridgecrest Golf Club.

The senior, from Medford, Ore., recorded her second-straight 74, finishing the tournament at 10-over par (78-74-74 – 226), well ahead of teammates Jennifer Gibbons (83-81-76 – 240) and Kelsey Whiles (86-80-78 – 244). Powers was named CCC Player of the Year and was honored as an All-CCC selection for the fourth-straight year.
The Cavaliers (331-321-311 – 963) rolled to the team title, taking advantage of wet conditions to record the lowest team score of the tournament in today’s final round. CU finished 81 strokes ahead of the College of Idaho (345-346-353 – 1,044) – who finished as the runners-up for the sixth-straight year.
Baylee Borchers (82-81-82 – 245) finished fourth overall to lead the Lady Yotes, earning her fourth-consecutive All-CCC award in the process. Teammate Gabby Giesbrecht (88-81-84 – 253) placed sixth.
Northwest Christian (363-366-360 – 1,089) placed third, thanks to a ninth-place finish from All-CCC selection Haley Partridge (84-89-87 – 260), while a fifth-place finish from Brooke Spencer (87-81-83 – 251) helped Corban (371-373-359 – 1,103) take fourth.
Among the individuals, Oregon Tech was led by Alyssa Clements (85-88-89 – 262), who placed tenth, while Warner Pacific was led by an 11th-place finish from Scotti Jo Helmick (85-90-94 – 269).
Concordia head coach Ronn Grove was honored as CCC Coach of the Year.
