CALDWELL, Idaho – Hayley Burnham scored a career-high 24 points, including the go-ahead basket with under two minutes remaining, as the College of Idaho rallied for a 77-71 victory over Warner Pacific inside the J.A. Albertson Activities Center.

The junior canned her fourth three-pointer of the night to pull the Lady Yotes (4-10, 3-2 CCC) even at 71-71 – starting a 9-0 run to end the game.  Following a WP turnover, Burnham converted a driving lay-up to give C of I the lead, with an Alicia Jones lay-up and a pair of Jamiece Yizar free throws sealing the Coyotes third win in four games.

Both teams started quickly, as C of I sprinted out to a 12-7 lead in the opening three minutes, but five quick Daesha Jackson points and a Kasara Brandenburg three gave the Knights (8-9, 1-3) the lead.  A Jordan Wilcox triple extended the margin to 24-20, but four quick Natasha Dacic points started a Coyote 15-6 run, capped by a Burnham three, giving the Yotes a 35-30 lead just before the break.

The Lady Yotes lead would extend to 55-47 on an Aleah Lowber trey with 13 minutes remaining, but a pair of Megan Tullis buckets, a put-back by Brett Larson, and a Wilcox lead helped WP score nine-straight points to retake the lead.  The teams would exchange the lead six times until a Kyeli Hendrix three and a Larson lay-up gave the Knights a 66-62 lead with five minutes remaining.  C of I would pull even at 68-68 on two Dacic free throws, but a long Brandenburg three gave WP their final lead – as the visitors went 0-for-6 with two turnovers the rest of the way.

Burnham was 9-of-18 from the field in the victory, adding five rebounds.  Lowber scored 16 points, with five rebounds and five assists, with Jones recording 11 points and five steals.  Dacic recorded career-highs with six points and seven rebounds.

Hendryx led WP with 15 points, going 5-of-9 from outside the arc – as the Knights made a Cascade Conference season-high 13 three-pointers, while attempted a league-most 41 attempts.  Jackson had 12 points, with Larson and Lindsay Low each scoring 10.  The Knights had a 45-35 rebound edge, but committed 16 turnovers in the loss.

C of I returns to action tomorrow night, hosting nationally-ranked Concordia at 5:30 p.m.
