ASHLAND – Four different Southern Oregon women's soccer players scored Friday evening as the Raiders matched their best offensive output in a Cascade Conference match in the last eight seasons for a 5-1 win over Warner Pacific at Raider Stadium.

Allyson Ward, Kelsey Randall and Megan Kapp got on the board in the first half. Lisa Elledge tallied in the 54th minute, and Kapp scored again in the 77th to punctuate SOU's third consecutive triumph going into Saturday's key 4:30 p.m. contest against Eastern Oregon (9-1, 4-1).

Fully recovered from a recent five-game losing streak, the Raiders are suddenly over the .500 mark in conference play at 4-6-2 overall and 3-2 in the CCC. The Knights sunk to 1-6-3 and 0-4-1.

The Raiders got WPC down early, taking advantage of Elledge's corner kick in the 11th minute that found Ward's head and was lined in for a short goal, her fourth of the season. Three minutes later, Randall made it 2-0 with an open look that she bounced in from 17 yards out and straight on after intercepting a Knights pass.

Staci Tatum cut into the lead with an unassisted goal in the 17th minute, but Kapp pushed it back two minutes before halftime. WPC's attempt to clear the ball out of its box from the pack landed with Kapp, who gathered and scored from about 12 yards out to make it 3-1.

Elledge was next, collecting a pass from Sarah Garoutte and connecting from 18 with an artful shot that started on the left side of the box and was snuck just inside the right post. Then it was Kapp, whose fifth goal of the season was good for an Yvonne Valencia assist – the first point of her career.

Kapp's five goals this season have all been recorded in two games. She pulled off a hat trick Sept. 2 against Simpson.

That game against the Redhawks, a 12-0 Raider win, was SOU's highest-scoring of the season. But this one matched their highest-scoring effort in a CCC game since a 7-1 win over Northwest Christian on Sept. 12, 2007.
