Said NU Coach Steve Bain following the match, "I was very impressed with our approach tonight against an improved Multnomah squad. We knew they would play hard so our team made a commitment to each other to play with energy and focus from start to finish and they followed through. The match really turned on our serving, which put pressure on their serve receive and kept them out of system. Our offense was then able to capitalize and we were very good in serve-receive and transition. We are now looking forward to tomorrow and another opportunity to compete against a quality opponent."
Northwest U remains at home and will host their final regular season match tomorrow night with Warner Pacific coming to Kirkland. A win by the Eagles will clinch a first round home match in the CCC Championships which begin Tuesday. Tomorrow night is also Senior Night for Christina Gleb and Lauren Bongiorno. They will be honored in a pre-game ceremony.
