Hustlin' Owls Blank Wolves
KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Oregon Tech’s Casey Oltman scored his conference leading 8th goal of the year as the Owls blanked Walla Walla University 2-0 Saturday night at Trevor Derrah Field. Oregon Tech improves to 2-2 in CCC play and 4-4 on the year. Walla Walla slips to 0-2 in CCC play with the loss.
The Hustlin’ Owls dominated play with a 30-2 advantage in shots and a 9-1 edge in shots on goal but great keeper play by the Wolves Goalie Josh Fry kept Oregon Tech off the scoreboard as he was credited with 6 saves for the game.
After a scoreless first half, the Owls finally broke through in the 51st minute as Oltman took a chip pass from Benito Torres-Mata and finished from the middle of the box.
Trinidad Flores gave the Owls a 2-0 lead as he took a Grant Alexander pass and scored from 15 yards out.
Oregon Tech will return to Cascade Conference play next Friday and Saturday playing at Northwest Christian and Corban respectively. Walla Walla will Travel to Rocky Mountain in Billings, Montana next Friday and College of Idaho in Caldwell, Idaho next Sunday.
