COLLEGE PLACE, Wash. – The Walla Walla University Wolves (2-14, 0-9) lose to 11th ranked Southern Oregon University Raiders (14-4, 7-1) 84-64.

The opening period was hard fought by Walla Walla, but Southern Oregon’s ability to make difficult shots against the aggressive defense of the Wolves was the key to their successful first half. The Raiders shot nearly 60% from the field and made almost 50% of their 3-Pointers to build and maintain their double digit lead heading into halftime.

Ryan Spady’s 8 points, along with Ethan Osias’ and Andrew Nye’s 12 points combined, helped Walla Walla to shoot almost 50% for the half. While Raider’s Ben Desaulnier scored 13 points to lead the game in scoring.

In the second half, Walla Walla made quite a few runs to try and get back into the game. However, they could never break any of Southern Oregon’s double digit leads. The Raider’s continued their strong shooting throughout the final period to defeat a relentless Wolves’ team 84-64.

Desaulnier led all scorers with 22 points and Jordan West and Clay Sierra contributed 17 and 16 points of their own for Southern Oregon University.

Ryan Spady had a good game for the Wolves, scoring 20 points to go along with 9 rebounds and Ethan Osias added 13 points.
