PORTLAND, Ore. - Warner Pacific rang up a 60 percent field goal shooting mark to handle Multnomah, 102-79, tonight at Bart Valentine Court.

The Cascade Conference's top scoring team continued their offensive prowess, as Warner Pacific turned aside Multnomah University 102-79 on Tuesday night. The Knights connected at a 60 percent clip (42 of 69) for the game and hit nine of 20 attempts from the three point line. The visiting Lions couldn't keep pace despite canning 11 shots from distance.

The outcome was never in doubt after WP sprinted out to a 21-5 lead in the first five minutes thanks in part to six points form De'Jon Bowman. Multnomah kept working hard however, and began to feed Thomas Simien who bullied inside for 14 first half points. MU cut the gap down to 14 points (52-38) at the break to spark some hope for the remainder of the game.

Blake Updike drained a trey to open the 2nd period for MU, but that was a close at the visitors would get. WPC used a 10-0 run paced by a pair of buckets from Xavier Cannefax to pull away, and eventually led by as many as 36 points.

Six different Knights totaled 10 points or more with Collin Malcolm earning 21 points. Bowman completed a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds while Franky Johnson and Cannefax totaled 16 and 13 points respectively.
