Jordan Asher led NU in scoring tonight Northwest U Posts Victory over Multnomah 2/19/2016 10:39:09 PM KIRKLAND, Wash. – Northwest University led the entire game on their way to a 92-45 Cascade Conference victory over Multnomah tonight. A 16-2 run midway through the first quarter would give Northwest U a 29-4 lead at the end of the first period. NU’s Katie Rozumny’s jumper two minutes into the second period would make it 33-6 in the Eagles favor. The Northwest defense would limit Multnomah to just 6 for 30 shooting in the first half while the Eagles converted 55 percent of their shots (17-31) to take a 43-18 lead at the end of the first half. Northwest U would continue it hot shooting in the second half dropping in 16 of 26 shots for 62 percent while Multnomah would improve their accuracy to 34 percent in the half. Emily Henderson’s jumper with 43 seconds to go in the third quarter would give the Eagles a 70-33 lead as they would continue to lengthen their lead in the final period for the 92-45 victory. Senior Jordan Asher Led Northwest U (14-15, 9-10 CCC) with 15 points and 5 assists. Miranda Langenhorst and Morgan Jacobson each scored 10 for the Eagles who shot 58 percent for the game. NU would finish with a 49-31 rebounding advantage. Multnomah (4-23, 2-17 CCC) was led by Miranda Schmillen’s 13 points. Karissa Cox added 10 points for the Lions who were held to 27 percent shooting. MU went 17 for 29 from the free throw line for 59 percent. Northwest U plays their final regular season home game tomorrow hosting Warner Pacific while Multnomah travels south to Olympia to wrap up their season against Evergreen.
