PORTLAND, Ore. - It only took 1 1/2 hours to decide tonight NU-Concordia volleyball exhibition match as the Cavaliers swept the Eagles 3-0 (25-18, 25-14, 25-19) in straight sets.

Amanda Waterman led the Eagles with just 5 kills and 6 digs. Morgan Pilon had 14 assists and Leia Roy had a team high 8 digs. NU managed just .056 hitting tonight as the Concordia defense came up with 56 digs and 7 blocks.

Concordia was led by Tori Johnson's 12 kills as she finished with a .310 hitting percentage for the night. Colby Barnette added 10 kills on .562 hitting for the Cavs. Michelle Brown had 36 assists for a match high and Anna Dols added 15 digs. CU hit .310 as a team for the match.

From Coach Bain, "There's not much to say. We didn't play well in any phase of the game and it shows on the stat sheet. At the end of the day that's my responsibility so I have to do a much better job of getting the team ready to play. Give credit to Concordia as well because our poor play was often a consequence of their serving and passing."

The Eagles will depart on Wednesday for Butte, Mont., to begin play at the Big Sky Challenge on Friday as they open play against Dickinson State in a 2 p.m. match.
