Dakota Adams hit .810 with 17 kills in the win over UGF NU Wins Second Match in Butte 8/26/2016 9:43:21 PM BUTTE, Mont. – Northwest University opened the Big Sky Challenge with two straight wins including a hard fought 3-1 (24-26, 25-23, 25-23, 25-17) victory over the University of Great Falls in their evening match. Great Falls opened the match with a narrow 26-24 first set win over the Eagles, but Northwest U bounced back to win the next three sets for the win over the Argonauts from the Frontier Conference. Dakota Adams led Northwest U (2-1) with a match high 17 kills, hitting an impressive .810. Amanda Waterman added 11 kills and 7 digs while Mattie Jo Johnson hit .238 with her 10 kills. Morgan Pilon had a match high 17 assists and Leia Roy finished with a team high 18 digs. NU hit .267 as a team. Great Falls (2-3) was led by Madison Wilhelm’s 13 kills and 17 digs for the double-double. Kennedy Chadwick had a match high 20 digs and Dani Norling had 11 assists and 7 digs for the Argos from Montana. Northwest U continues play on Saturday with a 9 a.m. match against Rocky Mountain College from Billings, Mont., and ends tournament play at 3 p.m. (MST) with a match with Montana State – Northern.
