KLAMATH FALLS, Ore.- Oregon Tech scored twice within two minutes in the first half on the way to a 3-0 exhibition win over NCAA DII Humboldt State Saturday afternoon on Trevor Derrah Field at Steen Sports Park.
Leonardo Alonzo took a great pass from Lodewijk Bloemzaad that put him 1 v 1 against the Jacks’ keeper. Alonzo finished nicely, finding the back of the net in the 39
th minute, putting the Owls up 1-0.
Bloemzaad then set up Trinidad Flores just two minutes later in the 41
st minute as Flores scored into the lower left of the goal giving OIT a 2-0 at the half.
Tech added a goal off the foot of Daniel Blessinger in the 70
th minute as he scored inside the box off a nice chip from Emil Brown.
For the game OIT out-shot the Jacks 18-8 with a 9-3 advantage in shots on frame.
Oregon Tech will return to non-league action September 3 at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon at 7:00 pm.
