ASHLAND – A night after a defeat Southern Oregon hoped to quickly leave behind, Kelsey Randall wasted no time getting the Raiders back on track in a 3-1 victory against Warner Pacific.

Randall, a senior forward, put SOU on top in the fourth minute after Trinity Rhoades raced down the left side and had her shot stopped on a dive by Knights keeper Zoey Dahme. Randall was there for the follow-up in front of an open net, and in the 25th minute she chased down a long pass at the end line and centered it for Mia Volpatti, whose five-yard strike put the Raiders up 2-0.

Makena Totushek capped SOU's scoring in the 55th minute with a centered, left-footed strike lined under the crossbar that was set up by a Daisy Cervantes assist.

The Raiders (7-5 overall, 4-2 Cascade Conference) remained tied with Oregon Tech for third place in the standings. Both teams are just a point behind second-place Corban, which has played one more game.

The Raiders have won 11 consecutive home games in which they've scored multiple goals, a streak that dates back to the 2014 season. They were coming off Friday's 4-0 loss to first-place Eastern Oregon, which snapped a three-game winning streak.

Randall and Volpatti, who lead the team in points, both scored their fourth goals of the season, and Randall notched her second assist. Totushek's goal was her second, while Rhoades got her second assist and Cervantes her first.

SOU also succeeded in holding Ashley Giesbers – the CCC's leading scorer with eight goals – without a shot on goal. She did, however, assist Staci Tatum's fourth goal of the year in the 68th minute.

SOU keeper Hannah Ceciliani totaled five saves.

The Raiders have won five straight home games against WPC (3-6-2, 1-3-2) in the series.

Next Friday and Saturday, they'll travel to play at Northwest (Wash.) and The Evergreen State (Wash.).
