ASHLAND – The 12th-ranked Southern Oregon women's basketball team didn't let the sting of its first loss linger for long, jumping all over The College of Idaho early in a 76-63 Cascade Conference victory Sunday at Mountain Avenue Gym.

A night after offensive woes plagued the Raiders (8-1 overall, 1-1 Cascade Conference) against No. 7 Eastern Oregon, they knocked down five 3-pointers in the first quarter, led by 15 points seven minutes into the game and never looked back.

Ariel Augustine scored a team-high 16 points, hitting a pair from downtown, and grabbed five rebounds. Toria Bradford went for 10 points, eight assists, four rebounds and three steals, while Remi Mejia had 13 points and five steals and Kenadee Honaker scored a season-high 10 points with three steals off the bench.

The Raiders forced the Yotes (1-7, 1-1) into 23 turnovers, including 10 in the second quarter to bring a 49-25 lead into halftime. They've won 11 straight games in the head-to-head series.

C of I, which on Saturday night stole a 52-49 win at Oregon Tech, got 17 points from Alyssa Case and Lindy Westendorf's nine points and 13 rebounds. The Yotes shot just 35 percent (19-of-55) from the field, getting off 22 fewer attempts than the Raiders, and 19-of-27 at the free-throw line.

The Raiders recorded assists on 21 of their 27 makes and scored 21 points off turnovers and 17 in transition. Their lead was as large as 29 points in the third quarter and 21 with 3:34 left to play.

Destinee Jones chipped in nine points, nine rebounds and two steals.

After a week off, the Raiders will pick up at home on Dec. 12 with a 7 p.m. non-conference game against Western Oregon.
