PORTLAND, Ore. – The NU Eagles ended their regular season with a 63-44 Cascade Conference victory over Warner Pacific to extend their win streak to five games and clinch the No. 6 seed going into next week's post season play.

The Eagles got off to a good start in a game they would lead the entire way, jumping out to a 13-7 lead in the first quarter after two of Miranda Langenhorst's game high 16 points at the 3:42 mark. It would be Langenhorst ending the period with a score in the paint with 54 seconds left to give the Eagles a 17-10 lead at the end of the period.  With 3:01 to go in the second quarter, Charmaine Bradford would give NU their largest lead of the half, 32-14, as NU would go on to lead 32-20 at the break.

Northwest U would continue to hold the lead in the 3rd quarter and Mariah Stacona's 3-pointer at the 6:24 mark would stretch their lead to 20 points, 43-23.  Warner Pacific would close the gap to 47-32 at the end of the period with a 6-2 run in the final four minutes. NU would not allow WPC to make up any ground in the final period as Katie Rozumny's trey with 1:40 remaining would put the Eagles up 60-39 as they would close out their season with a five game win streak.

Northwest U (15-15, 10-10 CCC) was led again by Miranda Langenhorst with her tenth double-double of the season – 16 points and 11 rebounds, shooting 80 per cent from the field. Charmaine Bradford scored 12 points and handed out six assists while Mariah Stacona contributed 11 points. Hannah Carlson scored 10 points and had a team high 8 assists for the night. NU held a 49-31 margin on the rebounding which included 21 offensive rebounds and the Eagles dished out a total of 20 assists as a team.

For Warner Pacific (4-26, 2-18 CCC), Bailey Allen led the way with 14 points and 9 rebounds. Bardi Pink and Kyeli Hendryx both scored 12 points for the Knights who shot 32 per cent for the game and were held to 18 per cent from beyond the 3-point line.

"It was a strong effort from the lady Eagles tonight," said Ken Crawford, Eagle head coach. "We're excited to end the season on a strong note as we head into the playoffs on Tuesday."

With the number six seed, Northwest U will play the No. 3 seed, Oregon Tech in the quarterfinals of the post season tournament on Tuesday, Feb. 21, in Klamath Falls, Ore.
