KIRKLAND, Wash. – A 14-1 run in the third quarter helped No. 16 Northwest Christian break open a tight game on their way to a 75-57 victory over Northwest University. Injuries beset the Eagles again tonight as they suited up nine players for the game.
 
It looked as though it might be a close finish with the game tied at 40-40 with 5:20 to go in the third quarter, but the Beacons showed their strength and depth as they would go on a 14-1 run to close out the quarter to take a 54-41 lead which they would never relinquish.
 
Allison Parker would hit a 3-pointer with 7:31 remaining in the game to push Northwest Christian’s lead to 19 points, 62-43, and on the Beacon’s next possession Parker would hit another trey to give NCU a 65-45 lead at the 6:17 mark as they would cruise to the 16th victory of the season.
 
Northwest University’s (6-15, 3-9 CCC) Miranda Langenhorst would lead the Eagles with 22 points and 10 rebounds hitting 80% of her shots (8-10). Andie Kristinat added 14 points and 6 rebounds while NU’s top scorer, Mariah Stacona was held to 8 points and 6 assists. NU shot 35% for the game.
 
Morgan McKinney led Northwest Christian (16-3, 9-3 CCC) with a team high 21 points and 7 rebounds. Anamaria Virjoghe score 17 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. NCU shot 40% for the game and went 11 for 12 from the free throw line for 92%.
