HELENA, Mont. – Northwest University (7-3, overall) men’s basketball falls to a difficult Montana Tech University 85-66. The Eagles spread out their scoring with four players in double digits but it was not enough to compete with the physicality of Montana Tech University (8-2, overall).

Nick Navarro and Ryan Ricks led the Eagles in scoring who found themselves behind majority of the game. Navarro had 17 points on the night and Ricks added 15 points to the Eagles. Hussayn Ford recorded his sixth double-double on the year with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Montana Tech University took advantage of the Eagles’ turnovers, by scoring 25 points off the Eagles mistakes. Dittman and Fitts led Montana State in scoring with 15 and 14 points respectively.

Northwest University men’s basketball coach Jeff Drinkwine remarked, “We just were not ready to play at their high level of physicality. These tough environments are extremely valuable to us as we prepare for our talented conference opponents. We will need to refocus for our game tomorrow, as we face another high quality team.”
