Knights Shutout Boxers
FOREST GROVE, Ore. - Two first half goals sparked an improving Warner Pacific side to a 3-0 win over the Pacific University men's soccer team on Sunday night.
Octavio Hermosillo put the Knights in front with a well taken goal just two minutes into the contest, setting the tone for the rest of the game. Hermosillo setup the second goal also, finding Bailey Thomason who slotted home his first career goal in the 36th minute.
WP added an insurance goal in the second haf, as Elias Soto tallied his second of the season in the 59th minute.
Goalkeeper Juan Inzunza earned his first shutout, making just one save on the night as the defensive line allowed just three Boxer shots over the 90 minutes of action.
