Evergreen Defeats No. 21 College of Idaho
No. 21 College of Idaho held onto a 33-match winning streak against The Evergreen State College but that all came to an end tonight at the Costantino Recreation Center when the Geoducks defeated the Yotes 3-1.
The score was the same as the first time the two teams met in Idaho, the only difference was Evergreen came away with the win to end the losing streak.
The Geoducks were led by Chloee Hunt, who had 13 kills on a .375 hitting percentage and Lily Stewart has 12 kills on a .385 hitting percentage. Sierra Wolff added 26 assists and Lexi Sanchez recorded 13. Nicole Duryea led the defense with 24 digs and Zoe Shaw added 19.
Evergreen hit a .181 for the match and best .281 in the final set. The Geoducks recorded eight serving aces for the match with four total team blocks.
College of Idaho was led by Jordyn Boswell, who had 12 kills and Ashley Pagan added 11. Abigail Guinn had 26 assists for the match and Drew Dobney led on defense with 16 digs.
The Yotes hit a .117 for the match and best .154 in the first set.
College of Idaho recorded 13 serving errors for the match.
