CORVALLIS, Ore. – It was a fairly low-scoring day for Friday’s Cascade Collegiate Conference women’s soccer matchups.

No. 24 Oregon Tech (6-2-0, 3-1-0 CCC) def. University of Providence (1-6-0, 1-3-0 CCC), 3-1
After finding itself trailing 1-0, No. 24-ranked Oregon Tech scored three unanswered goals to down the University of Providence 3-1. Brittany Burman scored the first goal of the game for the Argos in the 47th minute. Less than 10 minutes later, the Owls took over the lead as Amanda Seward (55th minute) and Mehana Ortiz (57th minute) found the back of the net. Valerie Zabinski capped the scoring for OIT in the 89th minute off an assist from Nyah Kendall.

Carroll College (4-3-2, 3-1-2 CCC) ties Northwest University (3-5-4, 2-1-3 CCC), 0-0 (2 OT)
Northwest University out-shot Carroll College 19-to-12 but neither team could find the back of the net to settle for a scoreless draw. Kierstin Patefield made eight saves for the Eagles, while Sarah Conway had to make seven saves for the clean sheet.

Corban University def. Warner Pacific University, 1-0
Corban University poured on the offense against Warner Pacific University, out-shooting the Knights 31-to-3 but had to settle for a 1-0 victory. Juliana Pires scored the lone goal for the Warriors in the 18th minute off a free kick. Makenna McClellan made nine saves to keep her team in the game.

Bushnell University (3-6-0, 1-3-0 CCC) def. Multnomah University (1-5-0, 0-4-0 CCC), 1-0
Bushnell University grabbed its first conference win of the year with a 1-0 victory over Multnomah University. Emily Puita scored the game-winner for the Beacons, capitalizing in the 82nd minute on a breakaway to prevent overtime. The Beacons kept up the offensive pressure throughout the match, finishing with a 19-3 advantage in shots and putting a season-high 10 shots on goal. Trisha Priest made nine saves to keep the Lions close.

Southern Oregon University (5-3-1, 3-1-0 CCC) def. Rocky Mountain College (5-2-2, 2-1-1 CCC), 1-0
A week after upsetting then-No. 20 Oregon Tech, Southern Oregon University made more waves by taking down Rocky Mountain College 1-0, handing the Battlin’ Bears their first conference loss of the year. Jordan Bell proved to be the difference maker, scoring her first goal of the season in the 66th minute off a Ruth Hegstad assist. RMC keeper Morgan Blankenship made six saves of her own to keep her team within reach.
