CORVALLIS, Ore. –  After Friday’s Cascade Collegiate Conference matches, one team has secured its spot in the CCC Championship Tournament, presented by U.S. Bank.

Northwest University (11-11, 10-7 CCC) def. Walla Walla University (0-18, 0-17 CCC), 3-0
Northwest University grabbed its fifth victory in six matches with a three-set sweep over Walla Walla University (25-6, 25-11, 25-15). The Eagles opened with a bang and finished the match hitting at a .413 clip. Abigail Broussard led NU with 10 kills, six aces, and two blocks for the Eagles. Kalei Kepler had six kills and an attack percentage of .857 for NU. Alex Wiedemann led the Wolves with seven digs.

College of Idaho (11-14, 8-9 CCC) def. Multnomah University (4-14, 3-14 CCC), 3-1
Multnomah University took a set off the College of Idaho, but ultimately fell in four sets (25-21, 25-10, 24-26, 25-16). Emily Vandenberg led the Coyotes with 11 kills, with Danielle Neuman posting eight kills and three blocks. Danae Stokes led the Lions with 10 kills and Kamaile Labanon added nine kills.

Lewis-Clark State College (13-12, 8-9 CCC) def. The Evergreen State College (8-10, 8-9 CCC), 3-0
Lewis-Clark State College swept The Evergreen State College (25-23, 25-20, 25-20) despite a slow start. Cassidy Nelson paved the way with 10 kills and four aces for the Warriors, who saw Jess Ruffing and Hannah Martinez dish out 39 combined assists. Evergreen was led by Lily Stewart, who had 11 kills while Sierra Wolff recorded 28 assists for the match.

No. 5 Corban University (22-1, 16-1 CCC) def. Oregon Tech (17-5, 13-4 CCC), 3-2
No. 5-ranked Corban University grinded out a 3-2 win over Oregon Tech (25-16, 22-25, 25-19, 17-25, 17-15) and clinched the first spot in the CCC Tournament. At the net for the Warriors, Allyson Reid (.429 hitting percentage) recorded 12 kills and Rylee Troutman (.316 hitting percentage) had 18 kills in the match. Nicole Reyes led the Owls with 23 kills, while Courtney Isom had 40 assists.

No. 13 Eastern Oregon University (20-5, 15-2 CCC) def. Warner Pacific University (1-19, 1-16 CCC), 3-1
Warner Pacific University took a set off No. 13-ranked Eastern Oregon University but couldn’t overcome the Mounties in a 3-1 loss (25-10, 25-20, 24-26, 25-12). The Mounties came out swinging in the first set, hitting .667 with just one error on 21 attempts, to set the tone early. Jet Taylor led EOU with 10 kills and six blocks. Alexis McMurtrey contributed 26 assists and 12 digs for the Mounties. Grace Buchanan led the Knights with 16 kills and was one dig shy of a double-double.

Southern Oregon University (12-10, 7-10 CCC) def. RV Bushnell University (17-4, 13-4 CCC), 3-0
After being swept by Bushnell University a month ago, Southern Oregon University returned the favor (25-23, 25-23, 25-12). Hailey Van Well poured in 16 kills on 29 swings and Carol Melo was in on six of the Raiders' nine blocks. Shay Coons led Bushnell with 12 kills and Payton Jones went for nine kills on a .450 average.
