CCC Women's Soccer Quarterfinals Scoreboard 11.9.21

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The first day of Cascade Collegiate Conference Women’s Soccer Championship Tournament, presented by U.S. Bank, concluded Tuesday with four teams advancing to the semifinals on Wednesday.

No. 1 Oregon Tech (15-2-0) def. No. 8 seed Carroll College (6-9-1), 1-0
No. 18-ranked Oregon Tech held onto a 1-0 victory over Carroll College to advance to the semifinal round of the CCC tournament. Maddie Miller scored the lone goal for the Owls in the 40th minute.

No. 2 seed Southern Oregon University (12-4-2) ties No. 7 seed Rocky Mountain College (10-5-3), 0-0 (SOU advances 5-4 on penalty kicks)
Southern Oregon University and Rocky Mountain College battled over 120 minutes of scoreless action, resulting in a penalty kick shootout to determine who would advance to the semifinal round. The Raiders converted all five of their shots in the shootout, while Jessie Selby came up big with a diving stop on a Battlin’ Bear attempt to send the Raiders through to the semis.

No. 3 seed College of Idaho (13-5-0) def. No. 6 seed Corban University (12-5-0) , 3-1
Despite Corban University holding an 18-to-10 shots advantage over the College of Idaho, the Coyotes proved to be more efficient on the finishing end and grabbed a 3-1 victory to keep playing. Lily Schlake struck first for the Coyotes in the 28th minute and Isabel Deville added some insurance in the 52nd minute. It came in handy as Corban’s Juliana Pires cut the score to 2-1, but Chloe Teets all but secured the Yote victory in the 69th minute.

No. 4 seed Northwest University (10-6-3) def. No. 5 seed Eastern Oregon University (11-6-0), 2-0
Both Northwest University and Eastern Oregon University finished with 13 shots in the 90-minute contest, and both had eight come on goal, but efficiency was key for the Eagles as both of they found the back of the net twice to win the game 2-0. Claire Jo Diede struck first in the 12th minute of action and Callie Wright hammered in an insurance goal in the 32nd minute.
