CORVALLIS, Ore. – Five of the six CCC volleyball matches Saturday night were straight-set sweeps, but one went the distance.

No. 1 Eastern Oregon University def. The Evergreen State College, 3-0
No. 1-ranked Eastern Oregon University came out swinging and grabbed a 3-0 (25-22, 25-22, 25-21) victory over The Evergreen State College. The Mounties opened the match with a .458 attack percentage in the first set and saw Alexis McMurtrey finish with 18 assists.

Oregon Tech def. Multnomah University, 3-0
Oregon Tech got better and better as the night went on and saved its best set for last, downing Multnomah University in three sets (25-20, 25-18, 25-11). The Owls hit at a .517 clip in the final set as Nicole Reyes led the Owls with 11 kills in the match.

No. 5 Corban University def. Lewis-Clark State College, 3-2
Lewis-Clark State College put up a fight but fell just short in its second-straight upset, falling 3-2 to No. 5-ranked Corban University (23-25, 29-27, 25-22, 18-25, 17-15). Avari Ridgway led Corban with 19 kills and had 15 digs defensively.

No. 23-ranked Southern Oregon University made quick work of Warner Pacific University, grabbing a three-set victory (25-15, 25-9, 25-14). Sadie Byrd came up big at the net, posting seven blocks, while Taylor Jackson had four and Carol Melo followed with three.

Northwest University had a solid hitting night and swept the College of Idaho (25-21, 25-21, 25-14). The Eagles finished with a .333 attack percentage, led by Abigail Broussard’s 12 kill and .400 clip performance.

After an upset loss the night before, Bushnell University bounced back with a three-set sweep over Walla Walla University (25-10, 25-14, 25-10). The Beacons finished with a program-best .532 attack percentage, while also finishing with 15 aces.
