CORVALLIS, Ore. – The 2022 Cascade Collegiate Conference softball season continued Saturday with two teams beginning their series and eight others finishing theirs. Teams compete in a four-game series, with only the first three counting toward the conference record.

No. 2 College of Idaho swept Corban University
Game 1: C of I won 10-2 (5 innings) – Haley Loffer led the Coyotes with a 3-for-3 showing at the plate, scoring one run and batting in another.
Game 2: C of I won 9-0 (6 innings) – Loffer stayed hot and went 2-for-2 in the nightcap with two RBIs, a run and two walks.

No. 1 Oregon Tech swept Warner Pacific University
Game 1: OIT won 6-0 – The Owls combined for 10 hits, led by McKenna Armantrout’s 3-for-4 showing at the plate with two runs and two RBIs.
Game 2: OIT won 10-0 – McKenzie Staub led the Owls offensively, going 3-for-3 with three runs and an RBI, and picked up the win in the circle with three strikeouts and no runs allowed.

Eastern Oregon University swept Bushnell University
Game 1: EOU won 4-0 – Caitlin Crist (1-for-3, one run, three RBIs) came up big in the top of the second with a three-RBI triple.
Game 2: EOU won 2-0 – The Mounties had seven hits but could only send two runners home as Amanda Smith picked up the win from the circle with six strikeouts.

Game 1: UBC won 7-5 – Shelby Kempel and Shae Sever combined for nine strikeouts in the circle for the Thunderbirds.
Game 2: UBC won 6-2 – The Argos struck first but the Thunderbirds responded with six unanswered runs.

Carroll College and Northwest University split
Game 1: Carroll won 5-1 – In a batting battle, the Saints capitalized on their eight hits to grab the victory. Abby Hanley threw nine strikeouts and allowed just one run in the victory for the Saints.
Game 2: NU won 4-2 – The Eagles had 10 hits in the nightcap, with Emily Barry, Jessica Nunes and Jordan Dippel all going 2-for-3.
