CORVALLIS, Ore. – The 2022 Cascade Collegiate Conference men’s soccer season kicked off Friday.

Bushnell University def. Walla Walla University, 2-1
Jorge Lopez proved to be the difference-maker for Bushnell University, scoring the game-winner in the 62nd minute to lift the Beacons 2-1 over Walla Walla University. Caleb Premo also scored for the Beacons, while Pedro Reyes found the back of the net for the Wolves.

Oregon Tech def. The Evergreen State College, 2-1
After going down a goal in the first half, Oregon Tech scored two in the second half to grab a 2-1 victory over The Evergreen State College. Lucas Alcala scored for the Geoducks before Cade O’Neill netted the tying goal and Brock Rideout secured the game-winning goal by converting a penalty kick.

Northwest University def. (RV) Southern Oregon University, 1-0
Northwest University snapped a five-game losing streak to Southern Oregon University with a 1-0 victory to open conference action. Tyler Hopp scored the game winner off a Daniel Stanczak assist in the 21st minute.

Eastern Oregon University def. Multnomah University, 3-0
Eastern Oregon University put on a scoring show, downing Multnomah University 3-0, scoring all three goals in the second half. Erick Diaz got the ball rolling with a goal in the 48th minute, before Max Rose scored in the 85th minute and four minutes later, Kellen Burke broke through.

RV) Warner Pacific University def. College of Idaho, 3-1
Despite earning a red card five minutes into the second half, (RV) Warner Pacific University pulled out a 3-1 victory over the College of Idaho, which also got a red card late in the game. Brendon Leach struck first for the Knights with a goal in the 12th minute, before Joao Bastos evened things up with a goal in the 21st minute for the Coyotes. Hunter Leach scored the eventual game-winner in the 41st minute and Andrew Martinez sealed the victory for the Knights with a goal just seconds before time expired.

No. 25 Corban University def. Carroll College, 4-0
Jaden Dubon scored a hat trick to lift No. 25-ranked Corban University 4-0 over Carroll College. Alexis Luna also scored for the Warriors, finding the back of the net in the 17th minute. Dubon then scored in the 36th, 41st and 79th minutes to as Corban out-shot the Saints 16-to-4.
