BUTTE, Mont. – In day two of the Big Sky Challenge, the Geoducks fell in straight sets to University of Providence and Arizona Christian University.
In the first match of the day, Evergreen (0-4) faced off against the Argos (2-0) and were bested in three sets (25-15, 25-20, 25-22).
Andee Nelson led the team in kills and digs with 11 each. Jacy Parker was the block leader for the Geoducks and Jenna Glenzel held the team-high in assists with 12.
Against the Firestorm (1-3), Evergreen lost in straight sets (25-12, 25-19, 25-22).
Alice Bennett (7) and Lucendy Perez (6) led the team in kills. Glenzel and Jessica Mitchell tied for the team high in assists with 10 a-piece. Nizhoni Tallman was the team leader in digs with nine. Rylee Grams and Mitchell each had an ace in the contest.
The Geoducks will play a pair of scrimmages before their next official contest, their conference opener on the road against Walla Walla on Sept. 1 at 2 p.m.
