KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference saw two teams ranked and two received votes in the 2025-26 NAIA Men’s Basketball Coaches’ Top 25 Preseason Poll, released Wednesday by the national office.
The defending National Champions of
College of Idaho opened the year in the top spot, receiving 11 first-place votes and 525 points. The Yotes will be led by the senior guard Samaje Morgan, who collected first-team All-American honors and was named as the 2024-25 national tournament MVP. C of I will also look to build on its 25-game winning streak from last year. The Yotes will tip off a new campaign on Saturday with an exhibition against the University of Wyoming. College of Idaho's first countable game will take place on Saturday, November 1, when they hit the road for a meeting with Carroll College followed by Montana Western on Nov. 3.
Southern Oregon University ranked at No. 14 with 318 points. SOU will start its preseason against conference opponent Oregon Tech on Friday. The following weekend, the Raiders will head to Montana to compete in the Western Classic Tournament.
Lewis-Clark State College and
Oregon Tech received votes.
