Wolves Wrap up 2025 in Ellensburg

ELLENSBURG, Wash. — Nothing went the way Walla Walla Women's Basketball wanted in the final game of 2025 in a 112-28 non-conference loss to Central Washington on Saturday.

The loss dropped the Wolves' record to 2-8 on the season. Central Washington improved to 10-1 with a victory in its home debut.

Jaylo Bello and Brooklyn Coe had eight points each for Walla Walla. Allison Haslam had seven points and seven rebounds. Sidney Folkenberg added four points and Meghan Rasmussen hit one of two free throws.

Asher Cai led the Wildcats with 27 points. Capri Sims scored 20 points, Sierra Eddie added 17 points and Kayla Thornton finished with 11 points.

After a layup by Cai to start the game, Folkenberg got the Wolves on the board with a layup of her own to tie the game up at two. Walla Walla was only able to muster one more point in the first against the tight CWU defense.

The Wolves were able to score 11 points in the second quarter, but the Wildcats refused to miss. Central Washington went 15-of-18 and scored 34 points in the second. The shooting woes returned for WWU in the third quarter as for the second time in the game the visitors were only able to get one shot to fall in a 10 minute period.
