CORVALLIS, Ore. –
The following 10 Cascade Collegiate Conference student-athletes have been recognized as the McDonald's Player of the Week, presented by Urban Edge Network, for their performances during competition from January 19 – 25, 2026.
Men’s Basketball – Defensive Player
No. 21-ranked Oregon Tech’s Jackson Cooper was named the CCC Men’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week.
Cooper, a junior forward from Portland, Ore., helped lead the Owls to two more conference victories over Northwest University (79-75) and The Evergreen State College (88-83). He tallied 19 rebounds and eight steals on top of adding 13 assists and 51 points in his strong all-around efforts.
Men’s Basketball – Offensive Player
The Evergreen State College’s Tony Frohlich-Fair was named the CCC Men’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season.
Frohlich-Fair, a senior wing from Portland, Ore., delivered powerful all-around performances for the Geoducks during a competitive weekend. He scored a game high in both contests, averaging 34 points per game while shooting 63.4 percent from the field, 50 percent from three-point range, and 73.7 percent from the free-throw line. He also added 12 rebounds, six assists, and three steals against the top teams in the conference.
Women’s Basketball – Defensive Player
No. 13-ranked Lewis-Clark State College’s Darian Herring was named the CCC Women’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week for the fourth time this season.
Herring, a junior forward from Deer Park, Wash., guided the Warriors to two big conference wins against (RV) College of Idaho (61-44) and No. 17-ranked Eastern Oregon University (68-59). She averaged seven rebounds and 11.5 points across both contests on top of three steals and two blocks while helping hold both opponents to an average of 51.5 points per game.
Women’s Basketball – Offensive Player
Oregon tech’s Tatum Schmerbach was named the CCC Women’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week for the fourth time this season.
Schmerbach, a junior guard from Medford, Ore., led the Owls in two CCC victories over Northwest University (81-69) and The Evergreen State College (90-61). She averaged 20 points per game while shooting 62.1 percent from the field and added 16 assists. She also contributed 19 rebounds and four steals, highlighted by becoming OIT’s first player to record multiple triple-doubles in a season.
Men's Wrestling – Wrestler
No. 24-ranked Montana State University-Northern’s Justin Windauer was named the CCC Men’s Wrestler of the Week for the second time this season.
Windauer (157lbs), a junior from Columbia Falls, Mont., is ranked No. 12 nationally and went undefeated at the Missouri Valley Invitational. He earned two technical falls, three pins, and a 12-1 major decision to claim the individual title.
Women's Wrestling – Wrestler
No. 4-ranked University of Providence’s Hailey Sutton was named the CCC Women’s Wrestler of the Week.
Sutton (160lbs), a sophomore from Florence, Mont., went 5-1 at the Missouri Valley Invitational. She earned three technical falls and two pins to finish in third place.
Men’s Indoor Track & Field – Track Athlete
Eastern Oregon University’s Keaton Moore was named the CCC Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.
Moore, a freshman runner from Oregon City, Ore., crushed his own program record by winning the 60m with a time of 6.81, just shy of an NAIA standard. He also contributed in the 4x400 winning relay team that earned a ‘B’ Standard with a time of 3:17.57.
Men’s Indoor Track & Field – Field Athlete
Eastern Oregon University’s Justin Krabbenhoft was named the CCC Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week.
Krabbenhoft, a senior from Metaline Falls, Wash., had terrific performances at the Lauren McCluskey Memorial Invite. He won the heptathlon with a score of 5465 which currently sits atop the NAIA leaderboard by over 250 points. His weekend was highlighted by first place finishes in the high jump (2.03m), pole vault (4.40m), and the 60m hurdles (8.38).
Women’s Indoor Track & Field – Track Athlete
The Evergreen State College’s Izabelle Trefts was named the CCC Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.
Trefts, a senior from Milford, Maine, had a strong showing at the Concordia (Neb.) Polar Dog Invite. She won the 3000m race walk with a time of 13:33.27, reaching an ‘A’ Standard which currently ranks atop the NAIA this season.
Women’s Indoor Track & Field – Field Athlete
College of Idaho’s Helene Rae was named the CCC Women’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week.
Rae, a freshman thrower from Bonners Ferry, Idaho, finished in fifth place in the shot put (13.14m) and the weight throw (14.09m) which ranks No. 3 and No. 9 in C of I program history.
